Mary Davanzo Vaughn of Kingston GA went to be with the Lord suddenly on February 7, 2025. Mary was a native of Milwaukee, WI and graduated from Wauwatosa East high School in 1969. She also briefly attended Cardinal Strich College in Milwaukee.
Mary relocated to Atlanta, Ga in 1983. She worked primarily as a secretary, legal library assistance and customer service representative for various firms for 35 years. Upon retirement she became a full-time homemaker. Mary was a voracious reader and loved cataloging and journaling. Her greatest passion was baking at which she was very accomplished, even to the point of selling her baked goods to restaurants.
A celebration of service of Mary's life will be held at Parnick Jennings funeral home on February 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Jean Davanzo. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Vaughn, of Kingston, GA; her brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Christine Davanzo, of Milwaukee, Wi; her son, Sebastian Davanzo, of Detroit, MI; her daughter and son-in-law, Tessa Mathews-Ward and Mike Ward, of Marion, SC; her son and daughter-in-law, Loren and Tracy Mathews, of Decatur, GA; her daughter, Sawyer Mathews, of Bluffton, SC; three step children; grandchildren, Kareem, Sukayna, Zain Davanzo, Lily Matthews, Saylor, Scout and Sterling Strelcheck, and nine step grandchildren.
There will be no graveside service and no flowers, please.
