Matthew Gilstrap

Matthew Tanner Gilstrap passed away on April 18, 2018 from complications of Muscular Dystrophy at Chulio Hills Health and Rehabilitation Hospital in Rome, Georgia.
He was born in Cartersville on December 6, 1969. A positive and caring person, Matthew's unselfish attitude was a comfort to all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed. Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, John and Jane Fleetwood and paternal grandparents, James Gilstrap, Sr. and Virginia Allred.
He is survived by his parents, Alton Gilstrap and Lenna Fleetwood; brother, James Gilstrap; nieces and nephews, James, Josh, Emily, Christopher and great niece, Evelyn.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville.
