Mattie Head

Mattie Head, 66, of Cartersville went to be with her Lord, Friday, January 7, 2011 at her residence. A native of Bartow County, she was born October 2, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Carey Jacobs and the late Loraina Sutton Jacobs. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Atkins, Shirley Watts, and Dorothy Bagley; her brother, James Jacobs; her grandson, Justin May; her niece, Jackie Mulkey; and her nephew, Phillip Gayton.



She attended Christian Fellowship and had a very strong Christian faith. A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend in Christ, she will be missed by all who knew her.



Survivors include her children, David Head and his wife Stacy, Diane Robinson and her husband Robert, Daniel Head and his wife Penny, Darlene Head, and Jamie Blake Head; her grandchildren, Melissa Ellis, Cody Head, Zach Head, Haley Robinson, Robby Robinson, and Andrew Head; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Margie and Donald Cochran and Carol and Benny Gayton; her brother-in-law, Farris Bagley; her sister-in-law, Dottie Jacobs; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Tommy Satterfield and Rev. Richie Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m., Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
