Mattie Westbrooks

Mattie Elizabeth Westbrooks, age 82, of 117 Old Grassdale Road, Cartersville, died on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Bartow County on Dec. 31, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Toll Brown and Jane Alexander Brown. Preceding her in death are her parents, her five brothers, Gene, Dick, Jim, Gus and Less Brown; her sisters, Lena Reeves and Ann Alan.

Survivors include her two sons, Billy Myrick and Jerry Myrick both of Cartersville; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Mac Evans officiating. Interment will follow in White City Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Jerrell, Eric, and Jason Myrick, Gary Smith, Bill Allen and Johnson Brown.They are asked to meet at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:15 p.m.

The family received friends on Saturday from 6 -9 p.m. at the funeral home. Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements.
