Melody Lynn Morris, 64, of Fairmount, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at AdventHealth Gordon Hospital.
Born on November 19, 1956 in Atlanta Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George Hester and the late Helen Smith.
Melody enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, knitting and crochet. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband John Morris; her brothers, Eddie Hester, Robert Hester; her son, Mark Sponsel; her step-children, Neil Sponsel, Jason Morris, David Morris and April Sponsel; her nephews, Shane Hester and Ryan Hester; her grandchildren, Cayla, Trinity, and Paige Sponsel.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Sammy Woodie officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
