Melvin Davis

Melvin Louis Davis was born in Anguilla, Mississippi on May 3, 1962 to Helen Jean Davis and Russell Love who preceded him in death.

They moved to Chicago, Illinois where he was raised and lived for years. He was the oldest of five children, Russell Love III (Chicago), Kimberly Love-Ferguson (Cresthill), Yvette Love (Chicago) and Robert Earl Love (preceded him in death).Melvin Louis Davis and Jacqueline Davis (Dennard) were united in Holy Matrimony in Chicago, Illinois August 15, 1987.They have 3 children: Alkendrick M. Dennard (Chicago), Jacquetta V. Davis (Georgia), Aeriel M. Davis (Chicago).

After graduating from Austin High School, Melvin enlisted in the U.S. Marines Corps and served 6 years. Everyone that met Melvin loved him, he was a kind and gentle man to all, always there to lend a hand to whomever he could. He was a joy to be around, loud but loved always.

They live to cherish his memory: wife, Jacqueline Davis (Georgia), daughters Jacquetta (Georgia) and Aeriel (Chicago), son Alkendrick (Chicago), three sisters Kimberly Love-Ferguson (Cresthill), Yvette Love (Chicago) and Loria Wilson (Georgia), two brothers Russell Love III and Stephen Wilson (Georgia) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
