Michael "Mike" Whittington, 74, of Adairsville passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. Born on September 10, 1950, in Brundidge, Alabama, he was the son of the late Lonnie Whittington and the late Ruth W. Moone. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jo Whittington and brother, John Whittington.
An avid outdoorsman, Michael found peace in all thing's nature. He would frequently go backpacking, hunting, and birdwatching.
Survivors include his daughter, Carrie Lunsford (Alan); son, Christopher Whittington, Sr. (girlfriend, Deborah); grandchildren, Christopher Whittington, Jr. and Benjamin Whittington; brothers, Don Whittington and Thomas Moone (Kathy); and several nieces and nephews.
Michael's services will be announced in the near future.
