Michael Curtis Williams, 60, of Cartersville died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at the Cartersville Medical Center. He was currently the owner of Sports Max, formally Sportsman Supply, in Cartersville. Michael graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in management and had worked for BellSouth for twenty years as a systems analyst. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Michael loved the Cartersville Hurricanes and golf. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Joan Mary Williams; his son, Clifford C. Williams; his daughter and son-in-law, Eden and Barry Hancock; his brother and sister-in-law, Leland and Wanda Williams; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Oleta and Ed Griffith, Ella and Herman Sides, Janice and Wayne Reagan, Nan Lawvender, and Elvayn Cobb; and his grandson, Jackson Hancock.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Savior of All Lutheran Church in Cartersville with Pastor Mike Zwemke officiating. Interment will be private at a later date.
