Mike Chapman

Robert Michael Chapman, 50, of 273 Cash Town Rd., Aragon passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 20, 2007. Born on July 16, 1956 in Decatur, he was the son of the late William Doyle Chapman and the late Jacquelyn Morgan Lentz Chapman. Mike attended Bartow County schools and was a mechanic for J & J Transportation in Aragon. He was also a huge NASCAR fan and was the crew chief for Cash Town Motorsports Race Team #16. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Tina Kathleen Chapman.

Survivors include his daughters, Gail and Allen Martin, Jessica Chapman and Holly Chapman, all of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Caleb, Alex and Chloe; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon on Thursday, May 24, 2007 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in the Kingston Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Shane Free, Jeff "Fred" Fields, James Cochran, Daniel "Cricket" Gamel, Joey Fields, and Danny Waldrop. Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Williams, Jeremy Williams and Joe Martin.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
