Mike Nicholson

Johnny Michael �Mike� Nicholson, 52, of Cartersville died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at his residence. Born December 20, 1956 in Rome, he was the son of the late Thomas Nicholson and the late Grace Ingram Nicholson.



Mike was a twenty-five year veteran of law enforcement. He was a member of Euharlee Baptist Church where he was active in the Iron Horse Ministries. Mike was also an active member of the Patriot Guard. He enjoyed Tennessee VOLS football, riding motorcycles, being in the north Georgia mountains, and spending time with family and friends.



Mike is survived by his son Jon Nicholson; his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Melba Nicholson; and several nieces and nephews.



Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Euharlee Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerome Black and the Rev. Keith Dempsey officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bo Blalock, Stephen Blalock, Ricky Darnell, Mike Pressley, Mark Coleman, and Jimmy Head.



In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Iron Horse Ministries c/o Euharlee Baptist Church, 85 Covered Bridge Rd., Euharlee, GA 30120.
