Mildred Darnell

Mildred Faye Munday Darnell passed away on August 19, 2020 at Cartersville Medical Center at the age of 78. She was born on April 15, 1942 in Cartersville, GA. She was the daughter of Jessie and Nellie Whitener and sister of Pat Elrod and Linda Whitener. She attended Cassville Schools.

She was a CNA at Floyd Health Center.

She was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.

She enjoyed listening to Gospel music and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Elizabeth (Wendell) Howard, Sheila (Tommy) Bruce, John (Marty) Munday, Josh (Polly) Darnell; grandchildren Teresa Dryden, Hope (Mike) McCreay, Coby (Mandy) Brown, Jessica Bruce, Katie (Mike) Turner, John (Melissa) Munday Jr., Christopher (Maddy) Howard, Zachary Howard, Gracie Darnell, Orry Darnell, Makeyla Huskins and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband John Willard Munday, parents Nellie and Jessie Whitener and brother Albert Whitener.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 22, 2020 at Freedom Worship Center, 1941 Cassville Road, Cassville, GA. Family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 2:00PM with the service starting at 2:00PM.
