Mrs. Mildred Ruth Beachler Hill, 92, of Cartersville died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at her residence. She was born January 13, 1922 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Harry and Ruth Viola Vanalman Beachler.
Mrs. Hill married the love of her life in June 1942, Nile C.M. Hill, Sr. in Amherst, Ohio following WWII. They lived in Lorain, Ohio, Winter Haven, Florida, Amherst, Ohio and Green Valley, Arizona before settling down in Cartersville. She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church. Her life has been centered in service to the church to which she belongs and to outreach through Missions. She enjoyed bowling, reading, crocheting and painting wood crafts made by her husband. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Nile Hill, Sr. in 2010; her step father Michael Chizmar; four brothers, Fred, Henry, Johnny and Victor Beachler; along with two sisters, Ann Smith and Mary Porter.
Survivors include her sons, Reverend Nile C.M. Hill, Jr. (wife, Phyllis) of Elyria and Dennis Lee Hill, Sr. (wife, Pam) of Cartersville; her brother, Daniell Beachler of Lorain, Ohio; nine grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30,2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Nile C.M. Hill, Jr. and The Reverend Larry Foster officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Hope Center, 100 Market Place Blvd., Cartersville, Ga. 30121 in memory of Mrs. Hill.
