Minnie Kelley

Mrs. Minnie Frances Kelley, age 79, of 63 Rooney Rd, Rome, GA, passed away Sunday August 31, 2008, in a local hospital.



Mrs. Kelley was born in Cherokee County Al. on January 20, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Mark and Lula Moore Gowens She was preceded in death by; one daughter Francis Joann Kelley and by her husband, Herman Houston Kelley on March 24, 1998.



Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law Rev. Jerry and Robbie Kelley; Danny and Rissa Kelley and Ronnie and Teresa and Kelley all of Rome. Three daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila Turner and husband Hughey; Kathy and husband Chris Reed of Rome, Teresa and her husband Jason Terry of Calhoun. 12 Grandchildren 16, great grandchildren



Funeral service will be held Wednesday September 3, 2008, at 2:00 PM in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Gowens and Rev. David Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery in Rock Run Al. with her son, the Rev. Jerry Kelley officiating graveside rites.



The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home.



Pallbearers are Josh Kelley, Aaron Turner, Joey Gowens, Chad Pierce, Matt Brewster, and Doug Brewster. The pallbearers are asked to meet at the Oaknoll Chapel by 1:30 PM.
