Myrtle Monday

Mrs. Myrtle Lorene Fox Monday, 82, of Cartersville, died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born November 28, 1930 in Ellijay, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Cantrell and the late Eva Anderson Cantrell. Mrs. Monday was a member of River Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Cartersville Undergarment. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Eugene Fox; a daughter and son-in-law, Richard and Wanda Adcock; and a brother, Bennie Cantrell.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Floyd Monday; son, Dwight Fox and his wife Teresa of Rydal; daughters, Marie Whitener and her husband Mack, Willene Munday and her husband Billy, and Irene Partin and her husband Gerald, all of White; a step-daughter and son-in-law; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Reggie Nation, The Reverend Billy Joe Munday, and The Reverend Gerald Partin officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers are Gary Shepherd, B. J. Shepherd, Dwayne Fields, Willie Adcock, and Cameron Ray. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hunter Nation and Hayden Partin.
