Myrtle White

Mrs. Myrtle Estelle White age 92 of Rome, GA died Sunday, July 5, 2009.



Mrs. White was born in Cherokee County, GA on September 6, 1916, the daughter of the late Albert Lee Morris and Laura Roberson Morris. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. White was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Austin White and a daughter, Kathy Gail White.



Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dennis and Phyllis Potts of Litha Spring, GA and Jim and LaVonne Pope of Villa Rica, GA; grandchildren and their spouses, Edward and Lynne Poorman of Douglasville, GA, Jeff and JoAnn Potts of Douglasville, GA, Jason and Jenny Rogers of Villa Rica, GA and Michael and Tonya Rogers of Montgomery, AL; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew Poorman of Douglasville, GA, Stephanie and Natille Potts of Douglasville, GA, Dylan Rogers of Rome, GA, Brittany and Madeline Rogers both of Montgomery, AL; a sister, Ola Belle of Rome, GA; and a special niece, Estelle Reeves of Rome, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Bob Smith officiating.



The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in Heritage Chapel on Tuesday by 1:30 P.M.: Jeff Potts, Jason Rogers, Michael Rogers, Andrew Poorman, Matthew Poorman, and Dylan Rogers.
