Nancy Hartland

Mrs. Nancy Loraine Hartland, 71, of Cartersville, widow of the late Gerald Hartland, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born December 31, 1942 in Oscoda, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Blank and the late Lucille St. Peter Blank. Mrs. Hartland had been a resident of Sidney, Montana for over 20 years, recently moving to Cartersville. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Sidney and was an active volunteer with the Salvation Army. Mrs. Hartland enjoyed yard work, gardening, farming, and raising chickens and cows. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her sons, James G. Hood, Jr., and Benny R. Hood and his wife Yadira, all of Cartersville; sister, Betty Studt of Troy, Michigan; grandchildren, Jordan Hood, Aaron Hood, Katie Hood, and Chris Hood; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Joe Nix officiating.
