Nancy Hensley

Mrs. Nancy Edgle Hensley, 87, of 289 Clear Creek Rd., Adairsville passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Starcrest of Cartersville. Born on January 10, 1920 in Burnsville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Mary Jane Higgins. Mrs. Hensley spent most of her life as a caregiver and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvel Erwin Hensley; her son, Johnny Nathan Hensley; her brothers, Nathaniel and Walter Higgins; and her sister, Polly Davis.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Jeannie Hensley of Adairsville; her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Tommy Searcey of Chattahoochee, Florida and Dorothy and Gerald Parr of Greenwood, Florida; her sisters, Ann Bishop, Laura Higgins and Grace Higgins, all of Lakeland, Florida; her brother, I.B. Higgins of Lakeland, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Doug Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 9 p.m. on Monday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Sharing God's Bounty Ministry, Grace Baptist Church, 477 Old Cass-White Rd., Cartersville, GA 30121.
