Nancy Ann Hornsby, 73, of White passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born April 2, 1939 in Pine Log she was the daughter of the late Bennie Brooks and the late Ruth Smith Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Louise McCollum and her uncle, Juan Smith. Nancy was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Rydal. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. One of Nancy's favorite past times was going to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Hornsby of White; her daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Craig Bailey of White; her brothers, Billy Brooks of Opelika, Alabama; Chuck Brooks of Elijay and Roy Brooks of Cartersville; her aunt, Bonnie Smith of White; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Rydal with the Reverend Reggie Temples and the Reverend James Surratt officiating. The body will lie in state for an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Monday December 3, 2012 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
