Nell Ruth McIntyre, age 91, born April 29, 1934, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. She was born to Rosetta and Harper Cooper of Bartow County.
Nell was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry McIntyre; her parents, Rosetta and Harper Cooper; her son Jimmy McIntyre, her siblings, Eugene, Lillian, Lucille, Seward, and Ollen; her great-granddaughter, Katie Leonard; her great-great-grandson, Lucas Morton; and many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Charlene King, and Charlene’s husband, Michael King; her grandchildren, Danny Massey, Melissa Johnson, Dede Massey, Dana Massey, and Wayne Angle; her great-grandchildren, Courtney Morton and Will Morton, Skylar and Rachel Massey, Joey and Logan Long, Hannah and Aigars Honeycutt, Haley and Devin Leonard, Zek and Sara Pruitt , Jack Reynolds and her great-great-grandchildren, Athena Massey, Ariah Massey, Ava Morton, and Parker Morton.
Nell was the heart of her family. She helped raise many children throughout her life, loving each one as her own. She was known as the best cook, famous for her homemade chicken and dumplings, which brought family and friends together around her table time and time again. She deeply adored her dog, Ruby, who was a constant companion and source of joy.
Above all, Nell loved the Lord and lived her life for Him. Her faith guided her every day, and her love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on through the many generations she nurtured and cared for.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cassville Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Skylar Massey, Joey Long, Aigars Honeycutt, and Devin Woody. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Zek Pruitt and Jack Reynolds.
