Nell Moore

Mrs. Nell Packer Moore, age 89, of Atlanta, GA died, Monday, October 5, 2009, following a lengthy illness.



Mrs. Moore was born in Floyd County, GA on January 30, 1920, the daughter of the late Albert Packer and Nellie Perry Packer. She was a member of Armuchee Baptist Church and retired from the United States Post Office. Nell was loved by many and will be missed. In addition to her parents Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Clay Moore and a brother, William E. Packer.



Survivors include her two daughters and a son-in-law, Martha Gilland of Atlanta, GA and Cindy and Jack Waters of Centre, AL; five grandchildren, Bill Gilland, Britt Gilland, Blake Gilland, Kindra Brock, and Kim Edison; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Lee Woods of Rome; and a brother, Harbin Packer of Atlanta, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Moore will be held Friday, October 9, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in the Armuchee Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Clonts officiating. Interment will follow in the Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery.
