Nellie Queen Tipton, 77, of Cartersville died Monday, September 06, 2010 at her residence. Born in Marietta on August 22, 1933 she was the daughter of the late William Queen and the late Effie Sumner Queen. She was also preceded in death by her husband B.W. Tipton. Nellie worked as a beautician and was a member of Taylorsville Baptist Church.



Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Johnnie and Janet Queen, and Ronnie and Brenda Queen; her grandchildren and their spouses, Lee and Leah Queen, Raquel and Jeff May, Ron and Amy Gore, and Rob and Amy Gore; her great-grandchildren, Carson May, Haylee Queen, Hannah Rackley, Austin Gore, and Hallie Gore; her brother-in-law, Shirley Carpenter, her brother and sister-in-law, James M. and Irene Queen; her sister-in-law, Shelba Queen, numerous nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Rob Gore and Rev. Tommy Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta.



Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Queen, Ron Gore, Ronald Gore, David Lamb, Matt Mason, and Ethan Harper. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 10:15 am on Wednesday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 pm on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
