Nora Groover

Nora Lee Groover was born in Gainsville, Florida, on March 18, 1935, but made her home in White, Georgia since 1970. She was the daughter of the late Cora Lee Monds and Hutto Monds. Nora passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 in Cartersville, Georgia. She was also preceded in death by her husband J.B. Groover, her brothers Jack Monds, Dick Monds, Doc Monds, Bill Monds and her sisters Alice Cason and Mary Barker.

Nora is survived by her children Carolyn (David) Tilley and Roy Williams, all of White, Georgia; her grandchildren April (David) Touhy and Chauncey Williams; Great grandson Logan Williams of Rome, GA, and lots of nieces and nephews.

She retired from Aunt B's Restaurant. She loved always being with family, cooking, canning and always had a garden. She cooked the best fruit cakes etc. and loved everything she cooked. She always cooked those big dinners for her family.

A visitation will be held at Woffords Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday December 3, 2020 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held graveside at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Hisher officiating. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Hickory Log in White Georgia
