Nora Lafluer

Mrs. Nora Lee Hilliard Jones LaFluer, 77, of Emerson, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at her residence. Born April 9, 1937 in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Lee Hilliard and Lillie Mae Hovers Hilliard.
Mrs. LaFluer was a member of Reynolds Chapel Baptist Church and was a devoted, loving and nurturing mother and grandmother. She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber with over twenty years of service. She enjoyed cooking, working outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Stephen D. Jackson; her sister, Lillian Jewell Fricks; and a brother, Joe Alfred Hilliard.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby Jones, Jr. of Emerson and Gary (Kim) Jones of Kingston; her sisters, Mildred Pritchett of Cartersville, Pearl Cabe (Doyle) of Kingston and Geraldine Boswell of Emerson; her brother, Donald (Penny) Hilliard of Emerson; her grandchildren, Cody Allen Wesley Jones of Kingston, Daylan Matthew Jones of Kingston and Devan Marie Jones of Alabama; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend David Summey and Pastor Michael Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p. m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Sam, Walter, Bob and Gene Hilliard, Dennis Lewis and Verley Jones. Gerald Adams and Henry Eugene Gilbert will serve as honorary pallbearers.
