Mrs. Ovlie Tidwell Jenkins, 95, of Cartersville went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at her residence. A native of Bartow County, born June 6, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Isaiah Tidwell and the late Mattie Virginia Garrett Tidwell. Preceding her in death along with her parents are her husband, Boyd Lee Jenkins; her son and daughter-in-law, Loy Ray and Kathleen Jenkins; her grandson, Roger Dale Jenkins, Jr.; her siblings, Bartow, Buford, Willis, Otis, Charlie and Jasper Tidwell, Clementine Higgins, Myrtle Tidwell and Francis Spencer.

She was a member of Atco Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing quilts and working on quilt tops.

Survivors include her children, Robert W. Jenkins and wife, Nancy, Seale Harris and wife, Reba, Roger Dale Jenkins, Mary Carolyn Mayfield and husband, Hugh, and Rose Lee Scott and husband, Jerry; twenty grandchildren; thirty eight great-grandchildren; and twenty five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Grandsons are serving as pallbearers and will include: Caleb Cabe, Boyd Jenkins, Randy Jenkins, Matthew Bray, Dewayne Jenkins, Michael Poole, Justin Bowman, Thomas Mayfield, Jr. and Adam Lee Scott. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. on Friday.

Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Ovlie Jenkins.
