Patricia "Pat" Ruth Mauldin

Patricia Ruth (Cagle) Mauldin of Cartersville, GA, formerly of Dalton, GA, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Dee Dee, on May 26, 2025. She was 87. Pat was the beloved wife of the late James B. Mauldin and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Farris O. Cagle. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Bobbie Star Cagle and Gail Cagle and her brothers and sisters-in-law with whom she had an almost life-long friendship.

She is survived by her brother Farris Cagle, daughters, Jamie Mauldin Mattocks (Don) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Tricia Dee Dee Stiles (Brian) of Cartersville, GA, and grandchildren Hunter Bearking, Finn Mattocks (Katelyn), Claudia Mattocks Stokes (Troy), Heath Mattocks, Ruthie Mattocks, and Gracen Stiles as well as many nieces and nephews.

Born October 31, 1937, Pat was a graduate of Dalton High School and long-time employee of Cartersville City Schools. She retired from Cartersville Primary School after many years of service. She loved her students and she loved her coworkers.  Pat was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and an avid animal lover.  The loss of the beloved mother, sister, and Memaw left a void which her family can never fill, but they will never forget the love she had for them.

There will be a small graveside service at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton, GA where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, J.B. on Friday, June 20 at 11:00 am.
