"Ric" Patrick Henry Adam Martin, 63, of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on January 5, 2022 at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on February 6, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia, he is the son of the late Ben Martin and the late Shirley Trotter.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Davis Martin; brother, Tim Black; children, Adam Martin of Gadsden, Alabama, Dusty & Rachel Martin of Athens, Georgia, and Ashley & Josh Conner of Tifton, Georgia; grandchildren, Addi Conner & Holden Conner; step children, Mike & Penny Miller of Calhoun, Georgia, BJ Bearden of Ellijay, Georgia, Wendy Bearden of Boca Raton, Florida; and his special brother, Tim Black.
Ric served in the Navy and was proud of his service. He loved riding his motorcycle and participating in events that benefited children and veterans. He was a huge Alabama Football fan and loved cooking. He was an excellent cook.
A memorial gathering will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 875 W 1st Street in Rome, Georgia 30161.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Mr. Martin is requesting that donations be made to the Freedom Riders in his honor.
