Patty Shutz

Mrs. Patty Owens Shutz, age 69, of 492 Floyd Springs Road, Armuchee, GA, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at her residence.



Mrs. Shutz was born in Floyd County, GA on September 5, 1939, the daughter of the late Marvin Dewey Owens and Henrietta Allen Owens. She was a loving caregiver and retired from Northwest Regional after thirty- five years of service. In addition to her parents Mrs. Shutz was preceded in death by two sons, Billy and Timothy White; two brothers, James and Charles Owens; and three sisters, Dorothy Godfrey, Willie Thompson, and Martha Spain.



Survivors include her husband of twenty-five years, Harry P. Shutz; three daughters, Kay Yarbrough, Kimberly White, and Gerri Ann Cherry; five grandchildren, April White, Nick Yarbrough, Kelly Yarbrough, Holly Yarbrough, and Michael and Tommy Cherry; two great-grandchildren, Madeleine Yarbrough and Avrie Moss; and two sisters, Louise Camp and Ollie King.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Culberson and Rev. Steve Kelley officiating.



The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home on Saturday by 12:30 P.M.: Jimmy Kennedy, Nicholas Yarbrough, Michael Cherry, Joey Brown, Ricky Huether, and Terry Owens.
