Paul Franklin Bagley, 81, of Cassville passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at his residence after an extended illness. Born June 30, 1929 in Cartersville, he was the son of the late Frank Gordon Bagley and the late Hattie Caralee Shook Bagley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Louise Wilson Bagley; and his brothers, John L. �Buddy� Bagley and Leonard Gordon Bagley.
Paul had retired from the sign department of the Georgia Department of Transportation. But many people who grew up in Bartow County will remember riding on bus #11 which Paul drove for 30 years. He also enjoyed decorating his yard for Christmas and playing Santa Claus for all who would drive by to enjoy his lights. Paul also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and hunting for civil war relics.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Vicky Bagley of Adairsville, Ricky and Revonda Bagley of Cartersville, and Ronald and Dianne Bagley of Cassville; his daughters and sons-in-law, Hattie and Robert Murphy of Cartersville and Mary Ann and Harry Russell of Perryopolis, Pennsylvania; his brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Betty Bagley of Cassville; sisters-in-law, Dianne Bagley and Margie Bagley also of Cassville; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Ralph Shook officiating. Burial will follow in the Cassville Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Bagley, Richard Bagley, Douglas Trammell, Timmy Bagley, Mark Bagley, Mitchell Bagley, Chris Kaufman and Ronald Bagley II. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 p.m. on Friday.
The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m. on Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
