Pearl Frix

Mrs. Pearl Lee Frix, age 86, of 615 Shannon Circle, Shannon, GA, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Frix was born in Newnan, GA, on January 22, 1922, the daughter of the late Paul Lee, Sr. and Helen Pitts Lee. Mrs. Frix retired from Galey and Lord where she was an inspector in the cloth room. She was a member of Shannon First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, Sunbeams, and was a member of W.M.U. Also, she was a member of the Woodward Valley Homemaker's Club and Shannon Hi-Lite Senior Citizen Club. Mrs. Frix loved her family and her dogs. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frix is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Clayborn Frix; a daughter, Betty Sue Grogan; three brothers, Paul Lee, Jr., Robert Lee, and Harvey Lee; and a great-great-great-grandson, Davonte Buffington.

Mrs. Frix is survived by two daughters, Arlene Robinson of Shannon and Peggy Ann England of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Bailey and Ann Lee both of Atlanta. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. in the Gordon Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, GA, with Rev. Larry McCoy officiating.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home by 1:00 P.M. on Saturday: Jeremy Robinson, Nicholas Baird, Jay Baird, Mitch Edwards, Jason Edward, and Joey Eury.
