Paschall "Pee Wee" Sewell, 75, of Adairsville, formerly of Monkey Town, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Born July 16, 1934 in DeKalb County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Leonard Sewell and the late Hester Clara Haney Sewell. Pee Wee was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Helen McGhin Jackson Sewell, and his step-brother, James Jackson. He had retired from Union Carbide.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Martha Sewell of Adairsville; his children and their spouses, John and Valerie Sewell of Cartersville, Beth and Frank Coleman of Adairsville, Connie and Jessie Carver of Adairsville, and Candi and Robert Moyer of Chickamauga; his grandchildren, Kyle Adcock, Jariah Adcock, Brandon Sewell, Spencer Sewell , Kimberly Moyer, Rayn Moyer, and Jessica Carver; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Melba Sewell of Plainville, Max and Joyce Sewell of Shannon, and Aleck and Evelyn Sewell of Calhoun; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Herman Freeman of Adairsville, Clara and Willie Hicks of Calhoun, Dianne and Steve Nelson of Calhoun, and Marie and Ricky Cochran of Adairsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Larry Huskins and Rev. Steve Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery in Adairsville (Folsom).
Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Adcock, Jariah Adcock, Brandon Sewell, Spencer Sewell, Mason Braden, and Tim Huskins. Jessica Carver and Kimberly Moyer will serve as honorary pallbearers. Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home by 2:15 p.m. on Sunday.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 9 p.m. on Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
