Peggy Carnes

Mrs. Peggy Carnes, 81, of Cartersville, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Bartow County, June 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Pledger Siniard and the late Ruth Ingram Siniard. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas Pledger Siniard, Jr.

Mrs. Carnes was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church. She loved her flowers, gardening and was a wonderful cook.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Carnes; her sons, Randy and Danny Carnes both of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Chris and Josh Carnes; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mary Siniard of Cartersville, Floyd and Judy Siniard of Ellijay and Robert and Vivian Siniard of Cartersville; her sister, Bobbie McCurdy of Hiwassee and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, October 21, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Joe McKaig officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Friday at 11:15 a.m. and will include: Harold, Stacey, Bill and Jordan Siniard, Danny Murphy and Bill Thomason.

Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Peggy Carnes.
