Perry McFadden, 61, of Cherrylog, GA, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Cartersville Heights Nursing Home. Born June 10, 1949 in Warren, OH, he was the son of the late John McFadden and the late Helen Faye Shiley McFadden. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Russell McFadden, and his brother-in-law, Ron Hewitt.
Perry enjoyed camping, archery, muzzle loading, hunting, watching Ohio State, the Pittsburg Steelers, and the New York Yankees. Perry and his family moved south from Ohio after retiring as a lineman with the city of Niles, Ohio. He was also a veteran of the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart during his service in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sandra Semyan McFadden; his children, P.J. McFadden of Newton Falls, OH and Colleen McFadden of Cartersville, GA; his grandchildren, Michael and Logan; his siblings, Beverly McFadden of Niles, OH, Patricia and Bill Sethman of Vienna, OH, Shirley Hewitt of Girard, OH, and Pam and Art Hathaway of Acworth, GA; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120 is serving the family of Perry McFadden.
