Phillip Gayton

Phillip Gayton, 27, of Cartersville passed away Monday, August 23, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born September 15, 1982 he was the son of Benny Gayton and Carolyn Jacobs Gayton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Silas I. Gayton, Carey Lee Jacobs, and Lorena Sutton Jacobs.



Phillip was Superman and loved to collect Superman memorabilia. He was known to be strong willed and had a great outlook on life. He was employed by Longhorn in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and was of the Baptist faith.



Survivors include his parents, Benny and Carol Gayton; his wife of two years, Mandy Mullinax Gayton; his beloved dogs, Ty and Ivy; his brothers and sister-in-law, Johnny and Christin Gayton, and Dewayne Gayton; his sisters and brother-in-law, Beth Gayton Grier, and Wendy Gayton Harris and Gary Harris; his grandmother, Mary Gayton Leviner; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Bobby Gayton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
