Phillip Young

Mr. Phillip Barry Young, age 61, of Cartersville, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was a native of Bartow County, born on January 9, 1955 and was the son of the late Cicero Calvin Young and Bonnie Eva McBee Young.

Mr. Young was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Rydal, Georgia. He was also a member of the Temples Construction Company. He was a graduate of Cass High School and attended Reinhardt and West Georgia Colleges. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and watching Braves Baseball. In addition to his parents, he is
preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Billy Temples and Roy McEver.

Survivors include his sister, Louise Temples McEver; his nephews, Don Temples (Mandy) and Gary Temples (Cheryl); his nieces, Joan Temples Becton (Allan), Camille and Caroline Temples, Heather Vaughn (Mike), Alice Kay and Eva Rae Vaughn all of Cartersville; along with his girlfriend and companion, Susan Kirby of Acworth.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the Oak Hill Baptist Cemetery in Rydal with The Reverend Reggie Temples officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
