Ralph Norton Burdge, 69, of Cartersville passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born February 18, 1939, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Arthur Burdge and the late Arlene Kregling.
Ralph was a letter-carrier for over 30 years and moved to Cartersville in 1989 after retiring. He was baptized as one of Jehovah�s Witnesses in October 1971 and served as a faithful Elder for over 30 years. Ralph had battled Type 1 diabetes since he was 28 years old and fought the fine fight and remained so positive throughout his long illness.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Diane D. Burdge; his sons, Michael Burdge, Scott Burdge and Todd Burdge; his daughters-in-law, Aurelia, Sherry and Ally; his granddaughter, Rachel Lianne Burdge; his brother, Bruce Burdge of Jettersville, Virginia; and his sister, Kathy Santos of Trumbull, Connecticut.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah�s Witnesses, 811 West Avenue, Cartersville. Ralph looked forward to the new paradise earth promised in Romans 14:8.
