Ralph Cox Sr., 89, of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on October 25, 2021 at his residence.
Born on June 8, 1932, he was the son of the late Bevi Cox and the late Paralee West. He is also preceded in death by his sons, Jimmy Cox and Billy Jack Cox; brothers, Tom Cox, James Cox, Floyd Cox, and Robert Cox; and sister, Lena Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cox; children, Ralph Cox Jr. (Veronica), Bobby Cox (Teresa), Margaret Cox, Michelle Brown (Greg), Jennifer Williamson (David), and Becky Cox; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Charles Cox; and sisters, Jane Lowe and Frances Neel.
Ralph loved Jesus with all his heart. He enjoyed building things and watching wrestling. Fishing was his favorite hobby.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at New Beginnings Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
