Mr. Randall "Randy" Hyde, 56, of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, March 04, 2014 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at his residence. A native of Bartow County, born October 8, 1957, he was the son of the late John D. Hyde and the late Lillian Pauline West Hyde.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Randall Logan Hyde; his brother, Jerry L. Hyde; and his brother-in-law, Billy Evans. Randy was a member of Glade Baptist Church and was retired from Trinity Rail Group with thirty plus years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed gardening, canning, hunting and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Payne Hyde of Adairsville; his daughters, Carrie Hyde Overby and husband, Roy, Jr. of Rydal, Deanna Hyde Bowman and husband, Daryl of Adairsville; two sons, Zachary and Brayden Hyde both of Cartersville; three grandchildren, Jordan Overby, Kaitlyn Overby and Daryn Bowman; two step-daughters, Melissa Brown Hugghins and husband, Michael of Cumming and Stephanie Brown Bennett and husband, Shawn of Elberon, Virginia; two sisters, Mildred Evans of Rydal and Lillian Kilgore and husband, Melvin of Rydal; a sister-in-law, Glenda Hyde of Rydal; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Glade Baptist Church, located at 401 Folsom Glade Road, Rydal, Ga. 30171, with Pastor Kyle Coker and the Reverend C.E. Wilkey officiating. Interment will follow in the Hayes Cemetery. Mr. Hyde will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie-in-state for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation services.
Serving as pallbearers will be Stewart Taylor, Ryan Amos, Michael Hyde, Scott Walker, Matthew Taylor and Quintin Bunch.
