Randy Waddell

Mr. Randy Lee Waddell, age 52 of Rome, GA died Wednesday, November 4, 2009.



Mr. Waddell was born in Floyd County, GA on July 5, 1957 the son of Harold and Mary Sue Gresham Waddell. He had spent his entire life in Rome and Floyd County. Mr. Waddell had worked for several years with the Fairbanks Co., Marglen and West Point Pepperell. At the time of his death he was employed as sales associate in the produce department at Wal-Mart. He attended Johnson and Model Schools and attended Berean Baptist Church. Randy loved to fish and enjoyed gardening and growing flowers especially beautiful hibiscus.



Survivors include his parents, Harold and Mary Sue Waddell of Rome; a son, Eric Waddell of Rome; brothers, Harold (Hal) Waddell, Jr. of Woodstock, GA and Eddie Waddell of Taylorsville, GA.



A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 9, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the East View cemetery.



The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel by 1:30 P.M.: Newton Tate, James Gresham, Steve Minshew, Terry Jarrard, Jamie Killinger and Ricky Gresham. Honorary pallbearers will include the Associates of Wal-Mart.
