Mr. Raymond Clifton Price, age 75, of Rome, GA, died, October 26, 2008, at the St. Mary�s Hospice House in Athens, GA.
Mr. Price was born in Laurens County, GA on May 17, 1933, the son of the late W. C. �Ned�Price and Alice Modesta Thornburg Price. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Mr. Price retired from J& H Equipment Company and prior to that was employed by General Electric and Sangamo Weston.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Becky Price of Athens, GA; grandson, David Price and his wife, Erin of Orlando, FL; a granddaughter, Amanda Price of Macon, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Clyde Tate of Rome; and nieces, Janet Judge of Maylene, AL and Amy Seigler of Greenville, AL.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Shanklin-Attaway Post 5 of the American Legion Honor Guard conducting military rites.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until the funeral hour in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Home and at other hours may be contacted at the residence of Clyde and Christine Tate.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel on Tuesday by 1:30 P.M.: Andrew Judge, Charles Smith, Tommy House, Bill Richardson, Bobby Anglea, and Lloyd McLean.
