With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rebecca Henson, who departed this world on Sunday, December 28th, 2025, at the age of 63. Rebecca, a cherished resident of Cartersville, GA, was born in the humble town of Hazard, Kentucky, on a bright Saturday, May 26th, 1962.
Rebecca's memory will be forever treasured by her loving husband, Johnny Henson, and their children: Tyler Clark (Adrienne), Brandi Evans (Josh), Kadrien Henson, and Anthony Henson. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Blakely Evans, Rhett Evans, Adelaide Clark, and Freya Clark. Rebecca was the cherished youngest sibling in a large family, preceded in death by her parents, Lester Smith and Ollie Franklin Smith, along with several of her siblings.
Rebecca's life was filled with passions and joys that touched everyone she met. She was an avid supporter of University of Kentucky basketball, cheering her team on with a fierce loyalty. Her love of cooking was best expressed through watching cooking shows as well as enjoying the cooking of her husband, Johnny Henson, who always loved trying new recipes for her. Yorkie dogs held a special place in her heart, as did her crafty endeavors that brought warmth and beauty to those around her. Above all, Rebecca's love for her family was unparalleled, and she devoted her life to nurturing and celebrating those closest to her.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, January 2, 2026 with a memorial service honoring Rebecca's incredible life to follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to join in the celebration of her life, sharing memories and stories that highlight the joy, laughter, and love she brought to so many.
