Rebecca Lanning

Mrs. Rebecca Louise Lanning, 68, of Cartersville passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her residence. Born on August 9, 1944 in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Charles James Relford and the late Mary Esther Stevens Relford.. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, William Jack Lanning, Sr.

Mrs. Lanning was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was self employed for 20 years as a painter and a wallpaper hanger. She was a strong willed and determined person and the cornerstone of the family.

Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie Broyles of Cartersville, Arleen Duncan of Cartersville and Missy Lanning of Douglasville; her son, Michael McGuire of Canton; her sisters, Linda Baker of Hiram and Patricia Bright of Griffin; her brothers, Bobby Smith of Woodstock and Bill Relford of Douglasville; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
