Reverend Christopher Mcdowell

Reverend Chris McDowell, 55 of Cave Spring, passed away on June 22, 2021 at his residence.

Born on May 23, 1966, he is the son of the late Fred McDowell and Christine McDowell.

Survivors include his wife, Donna McDowell; children, Janna McCarley (Brandon) and Kayla Silvers (Justin); Grandchildren Mackenzie, Christopher, Katherine, Kaydence, Danny, Dallas, Addison, Dawson, and Alivia; his mother, Christine McDowell; siblings, Freda Gipson (Jim) and Deena Horsley (Berney); and a special aunt and uncle, Marie and Larry Yother.

Reverend Chris loved to camp and was very social and friendly. He could often be found relaxing near the river. He loved his Grandbabies deeply.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 28, 2021 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Milner and Kelia Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon McCarley, Justin Silvers, Mack Pinion, Jeff Dupree, Christopher Jordan, and Berney Horsley.
