Rex Tyrrell

Mr. Rex Duane Tyrrell, 84, of Cartersville passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born January 14, 1924 in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Glenn Tyrrell and the late Opal Chapin Tyrrell. Rex was a veteran of World War II having served in the Merchant Marines. He was also a retired automative parts and sales rep.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gloria Brigham Tyrrell of Cartersville; his daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and David Skolnik of Peoria, Arizona, Sheila and Mike Buchanan of Tigard, Oklahoma, and Peggy and Joe Cross of Cartersville; his son Ivan Tyrrell of Seward, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Seward, Nebraska with Volzke Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Seward, NE 69434 in charge of the arrangements.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements.
