Richard Ellis

Mr. Richard O. A. Ellis, Jr., 74, of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his son�s residence surrounded by his family. Born in Brinkley, Arkansas, December 24, 1936, he was the son of the late Richard Owen Augustus Ellis, Sr. and the late Cora Elledge Ellis. Preceding him in death are his parents; his sisters, Betty Faulkner, Maggie Stephens and Cassie Morris; his nephews, Leon Coates and Eddie Roberts; and his aunt Nora Ellis.

Mr. Ellis served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church.



He is survived by his love one, Roxie Wade; his son and daughter-in-law, Richie And Buffey Jo Ellis of Centre, Alabama; his daughters and sons-in-law, Tina Ellis of Cartersville, Annette and Billy Bridges of Folsom, Debbie and Kenneth Jenkins of Fairmount and Michelle Berrong of Kingston; his sisters, Bessie Sites of Byhalia, Mississippi and Jean Roberts of Sheridan, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Keith Milner officiating. Burial will follow in Brinkley, Arkansas.



The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 -9 p.m. at the funeral home.
