Richard Fowler

Richard "Rick" Fowler, 58, of Cartersville passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Emory University Hospital.

Born in Cartersville on January 29, 1954 he was the son of the late Woodrow Fowler and the late Leone Jarrett Fowler. He was also preceded in death by his brother William Fowler. Rick was employed by jmish Textiles as a plant manager. He was an avid deer hunter who loved his family very much. He especially enjoyed taking his grandchildren riding on the tractor and four-wheeler.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Jones Fowler of Cartersville; his daughters and son-in-law, Lynn and Tommy Martin of Cartersville and Tonya Hart of Cartersville; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Sissy Fowler of Lafayette, Alabama; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Jo Cox (Ray) , Sarah Allison (Alsa), Barbara Wyatt (Eddie) and Martha Holmes all of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Lynsey Ruff of Cartersville, Josh Martin of Cartersville, Katie Martin of Cartersville, Jesse Martin of Cartersville, Jacob Fowler of Lafayette, Alabama, Austin Fowler of Lafayette, Alabama, Triston Hart of Cartersville and Trent Hart of Cartersville; his great-grandchild, Landon Ruff of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Abernathy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jon Cothran, Wayne Cothran, Mark Allison, Jeff Dupree, Billy Cox, and Gerald Prince. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Rucker and Bob Vanorder. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 1:15 on Tuesday.
