Richard "Richie" Gayton

Richard "Richie" Eugene Gayton, 48, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Born on January 26, 1977, he was the son of Barry Gayton and Patti Gayton (Robinson). He is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, RF Robinson and Geraldine Robinson; paternal grandmother, Mary Leviner; and paternal grandfather, Silas Gayton.

Richie loved going to the beach. He enjoyed listening to music and having bonfires. Richie was a big outdoors person and would do yardwork and woodworking. He loved cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs. Go Dawgs!

Along with his parents, survivors include his son, Caden Gayton; brother, Ryan Gayton (Kirstie); brother, Marc Gayton; nephew, Taylor Gayton; and nephew, Nolan Gayton.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home chapel with ministers Corey Barnette and Bobby Gayton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
