It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Keith Hutson, affectionately known as Rick or Ricky, on September 15, 2026. Rick was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was filled with experiences, memories, and a love for his family that ran deep
Rick was a quiet man who often kept his thoughts to himself, but those who knew him best understood that he had a big heart. He loved his family deeply, even when he didn't always express his feelings in words. He was a man who valued loyalty and honesty, and he could become angry when he felt he had been wronged. He had his own way of seeing the world, and he wasn't afraid to stand up for what he believed was right.
One of Rick's greatest passions was cars and racing. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing and the excitement that came with it. He loved working on cars, getting his hands dirty, and spending time doing something he truly enjoyed. Cars and racing were more than just hobbies to Rick; they were a part of who he was and a source of memories that those who knew him will always remember.
Rick was also a man who could be charming, helpful, and respected by his friends. While he may not have been the loudest person in the room, he had a presence all his own. Those who shared life with him knew the many sides of his personality and the love he carried for the people who mattered most to him.
His life was not without challenges, but through it all, Rick remained a person with his own story, his own struggles, and his own way of navigating the world. He will be remembered not only for the things he did, but for the person he was and the memories he leaves behind.
Rick is survived by his two sons, Devin Henderson and Jeremy Wayne Dean, who will carry his memory with them throughout their lives.
He is also survived by his siblings: Dale (Carolyn) Hutson, Anne Hutson Czobat, Roger (Tonia) Hutson, and Dana Hutson Norrell. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him and cherish the memories they shared.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Richard T. Hutson and Gladys Raye Hutson.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we choose to remember Rick for the life he lived, the love he had for his family, his passion for cars and racing, and the moments that made him who he was. Every person who knew him carries a different memory of Rick, and each of those memories is a part of the legacy he leaves behind.
A brother, a father, a son, an uncle, and a friend—Rick held many places in the hearts of those who loved him. His absence will be felt, his name will be spoken, and his memory will remain.
May you find the open road, the sound of engines, and the freedom you loved. Rest peacefully, Rick. You will always be loved, always be remembered, and forever missed. ❤■
