Ricky Newton Bell, 72, of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on October 8, 2022 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Ricky was born in Atlanta Georgia on June 19, 1950. He was an active member of Atco Baptist Church and a highly decorated soldier from the Vietnam War. He did two tours; his job was to rescue American Soldiers, wounded or deceased, and carry them to the nearest camp. He earned a total of five purple hearts for his selfless acts of bravery. He loved to fish and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind three daughters, Tabitha Bell, Linda Caberra, and Crystal Bell Robinson; a brother, Autrey Bell; several grandchildren; and numerous friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
A memorial service will be held for Ricky at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Atco Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Boatfield and Justin Holcomb officiating.
