Riley Spry

Mr. Riley Spry, Jr., 73, of Taylorsville, died Friday, August 7, 2015, at Cartersville Medical Center. Born March 9, 1942 in Harts, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Riley Spry, Sr., and the late Margaret Slade Spry. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Billy Joe Spry and Jimmy Dale Spry.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Spry; daughters, Jackie (Dale) Corey, Catrina (Derek) Davis; sons, Riley Spry, III, Steven Spry, Glen (Nicole) Allen; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Green Spry; sisters, Ruth Bowen, Barbara Perry and Edith Wiley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Jesse Starnes and Reverend Houston Eaton officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, August 10, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Davis, Austin Davis, Daniel Davis, David Getman, Justin Payne and Andres Lopez.
