Robert Harrell

Robert C. Harrell, Sr., 95, formerly of the Waldrop Assisted Living Center, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at his residence. Born July 20, 1914 in Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of the late Percy Harrell and the late Mary Lea Williams Harrell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ethelyn McDonald Harrell.



Mr. Harrell served his country in the United States Army and was employed by Seaboard Railroad as foreman of the yard. He was a member of the North Cobb Church of Christ and the Masons. He also loved to work in his garden and travel.



Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. Harrell, Jr. and Barbara Harrell; his daughter and son-in-law, Jeri Harrell Hadaway and Ben Hadaway; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Jeff Kenee, Ben Hadaway, and Robert Harrell, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.



Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Harrell, Nathan Harrell, Robb Harrell, Rob Hadaway, Ben Atha, and Tony Merendino. Pallbearers are asked to be at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. on Monday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
